New Bedford Maternity Photographer Incorporates FaceTime into Photo Session

Last month, I had a couple from out of town travel to New Bedford for a maternity session with me.  While that isn’t unusual (my clients often travel 45 minutes to an hour for a session a with me) this particular session was special.  It was an old college friend from Brandeis and his wife. For years, they have told me that when they had another baby they would love to hire me to do their maternity photos. However, until a few months ago, they lived in Puerto Rico, so that really wouldn’t have been an option.  Somehow, the stars must have aligned.  Shortly after learning that they were expecting another baby, they made plans to move to New York, which is still a bit of a distance to travel from to New Bedford.  However, they were invited to a wedding in Boston (I’m located about an hour south of Boston) this past May.  As soon as they realized that they would be only an hour away, they made sure to book a session with me. I was very excited. I hadn’t seen my friend since the college days and had never met his lovely wife.  Unfortunately, their 5 year old son couldn’t join them for the wedding, and thus wouldn’t be there for the photo session. That made me sad, as I love to include whole families in my shoots. But, thanks to modern technology, we were able to incorporate him into the session via FaceTime!  Below are some of the photos from their session.
